Here’s a list of things I really like, that have helped me in life and business, & if you’re looking to get the most out of your life, you should look into these too.
News feed eradicator – Everyday I’m inside Facebook to create ads or check metrics. The last thing I need to do is get sidetracked into shiny objects or everyone else’s drama. (If you do use this plug-in, don’t worry… I’ll advertise to you on your other platforms 😉
Sunrise– Awesome calendar app. The smartphone app works like a charm when trying to schedule a meeting.
SELF Journal – Cumon now… you know I have to do it… The SELF Journal will transform the way you set goals & reach them. It’ll structure your life so you know exactly what needs to get done, which leaves more time for the fun stuff
EasilyDo – (android google app)- what was that flight number? oh yeah… this thing saves everything from flight numbers and reservations to reminding you to follow up with people who haven’t replied back. It’s awesome.
Numi Calculator– As the CFO and Marketer for my companies I deal with numbers… A LOT. Think of this as a watered down version of excel, that’s been beefed up.
Blinkist– I’m an avid believer in books (I try and read 3 per-day, for 15 minutes each)- but this is awesome to have when you’re jumping on a bus, or waiting for your wife to get ready. Read a “blink” & get some quick knowledge.
IFTTT– Want to automate your life? you’re welcome… Try something cool like, turn your phone on vibrate when you get to work. Or send you the weather forecast if it’s going to rain. Or my favorite: When you post a new image to Instagram, post same image as native image in Facebook, and a native image in Twitter. BOOSH!
Bluehost– I use bluehost for all my hosting. After several hosting companies, I feel like these guys know how to treat their customers and it’s just so damn easy to use.
Godaddy – See below
Honey– do you make a lot of online purchases? how about when you buy new domains? then you definitely need this little gem. Save yourself some coin and install it now. If you wanna see how I buy my domains- check out the video here: <Honey + Godaddy Video> (I’ll upload this soon)
Marketers Delight– Pretty freakin cool wordpress theme/child theme for blogging & marketing. You’re experiencing it right now.
Google drive– I live inside of this- it’s where proposals, spreadsheets, & docs live. Quick to find them on my phone, quick to find them in my folders. Only thing I wish was available, was with multiple Google Drive accounts, was to find documents inside multiple accounts simultaneously, anyone have a solution?
DropBox– My hard drive in the cloud. I record a lot of videos, and we use a ton of visual images (high res) I wouldn’t last a day if I had to store all this on my hard drive (even though its 1T) 😉
Slack– Working with a team? How about a remote team? YOU NEED THIS! easily communicate with everyone, sub groups, or individuals. Share files, easily search for past messages. I don’t know how to live or function without this.
SumoMe– Noah and Nat over at SumoMe did an awesome job putting these easy to use tools together. They really made it easy for anyone to get all the lead gen tools they could ask for in one platform.
Shopify– Selling something online? This could be the only way.
BuzzSumo– This is what I use to research my blog posts. I try and find out what articles, topics, etc are getting attention, and then I write my own based on that. No need trying to think of your next article. Just use this.
Google URL Creator– I track everything I do, I want to know what’s happening, where, and why… this is the tool I use to help me get a better grasp on my reporting and data. Even if you’re just starting out, start using this because reporting & tracking is a good thing to make a habit of. “What gets Measured Get’s Mastered”
PicMonkey– I don’t have the bandwidth to deal with photoshop- This is my go-to with photo editing. Does everything I need it to in my browser.
Headspace App– OK. This is first on the list for a reason. Meditation has helped me be more productive, focused, calm, happier, and an overall better human being. This tool was the most beneficial in finding something that worked for all levels- wheather you’ve never tried before or you’ve been doing it for years.
Amazon Fire TV– I hate TV! I think it’s because out of the 1000+ channels that people get, they only watch the same 3 channels. And out of those 3 channels, they maybe watch 20 percent of the shows. And out of that 20 percent, it’s 100 percent garbage. Did I mention I hate TV? lol. Amazon Fire let’s me watch 100 percent awesome shows, youtube, pandora for pretty much free. It’s an awesome ROI.
Maui Jim– I’m a sucker for sunglasses. If you’ve seen me, a pair is usually sitting on my head. Even at 11pm at night. I hang on to good shades, and I can’t say enough good things about my Maui Jims.
Tumi– get a real bag already
NutraBullet– Yup, one of these. I make everything in it- Bulletproof Coffee, Green Juice Drinks, Shakes, Etc. Pretty much my go-to when in the kitchen.
Courses & Communities:
The Foundation– My first course I took online. This program hit all my needs, and then some. The reason I joined The Foundation was for three things: 1. The community- I wanted to connect with like minded people- people who wanted a better life, people who knew there were other options for themselves, and people who wanted to support one another in their goals. 2. The mentors- I looked for a mentor locally, but couldn’t find one. This had multiple mentors, teaching multiple topics. PERFECT! 3. The training – the coursework was tremendous- covered everything needed to get paste the barriers in your way. My favorite modules were the mindset modules. Challenge the way you think about business and starting one.
10k Email Subs– Bryan Harris course on building an email list to 10K was monumental in the success of BestSelf Co. I followed the framework for this course to a T and within 3 months I had built a list of 3700 people to launch our Kickstarter campaign to (which generated over $322K). Now (8 months after starting the course) we have over 20K people on our list and growing… because of this course… Thank you Bryan.
