3 Ways to Generate More
Income From Jay Abraham
Want to Earn More Money?
These are the 3 things you need to list out to find opportunities to generate more money and more income. Whether you have no job, a part time job, freelancer, or a full time job.
1. What You’re Skilled In
2. What You Know More Than Others
3. Who You Know
Hey guys, it's Allen.
In this video I’m gonna give you a few ways,
actually three steps that you can take to generate more money. Whether it’s for a side business – so if you’re in a nine to five and you just wanna get out of it,
but you don’t really know which avenue you wanna take, these steps will help.
If you’re in a business and you run your own business and you’re thinking,
“Alright, well, we’ve sort of plateaued. What else can we do, or what else can I do
to generate more income for the business?”
These three steps will help also.
So I’m reading a book called Secret Wealth by Jay Abraham,
and these three steps come out of this book, and what Jay says is to do three things.
And the reason why I’m bringing this up is because my wife actually wants to do a side project, but the thing is, she doesn’t really know what she wants to do.
She just knows she wants to do something on the side or to supplement her current income. She doesn’t want to leave her income or her job, because she likes it.
But she just wants to do something extra,
So we’re trying to figure out what it is that she wants to do or that she can do to generate more money, or income – or have more fun, whatever it is.
So the first step is to create a document or a spreadsheet with three columns.
Now, these three columns you’ll start one by one.
And in the first column you’ll list a list.
You’ll write down everything that you’re skilled in.
So whatever it is that you’re an expert in, that you’ve crafted or honed over time, or that you’ve done repeatedly, you will write in this column.
The second column is anything that you know more than others.
So that for me for example is real estate, and real estate investing.
I know a lot about real estate investing.
This bookshelf is filled with real estate investment books that I’ve read over and over again. And I know more than just the average person about what it takes to get into real estate.
- Whether it’s residential, commercial,
- whether it’s fix and flip,
- whether it’s buy and hold,
- single family, multi family…
I have a lot of knowledge in that. That would be something that I would write in the knowledge column
And then the third column would be anybody that you’re acquainted with.
So anybody that’s crossed your path.
- Maybe it’s a past employer –
- Maybe it’s someone who’s hired you in the past,
- Maybe it’s someone who’s fired you in the past,
- Maybe it’s employees or contractors that you’ve dealt with.
- It could even be somebody that you met at a party and gotten their business card.
These are all the type of people that you want to put into this column. Then what you’ll end up doing is making connections with all the people that are in the third column with your knowledge and skill-based columns.
And you can start by adding value or reaching out.
Hey, I remember I had this conversation with this person and they were talking about real-estate. Maybe you can sit down with them for coffee and discuss real estate
or ways that you can help them in the real estate business based on your knowledge. Or based on you skillset, or somebody that you’ve talked to in the past – maybe it’s a contractor, maybe it’s an employer, past employer.
These are just one simple way that you can provide value, generate a side income,
or generate more income for your existing business.
