Your mindset determines so much of what happens in your life. If you show up with scarcity mindset and negativity, then you’ll experience scarcity and negativity. If you show up with a positive and abundant mindset, then you’ll experience positivity and abundance in your life.

This video is going to be on mindset and why why your internal feelings, your internal thought patterns, the way that you think about everything transforms your external environment. Where people fall short: they think I need to have this external experience or thing or event to happen in order for me to feel good or feel a certain way. But in reality, it’s feeling that way first which then transforms the external environment.
So when you’re negative you’re going to experience negative stuff. When you’re positive, you’re going to experience positive stuff. If you live in lack internally and have a scarcity mindset there’s going to be scarcity in your life. If you have an abundant mindset there’s going to be abundance in your life. And the way you think changes the solutions to the problems that you’re having. Where if you have a mindset of okay I can accomplish this, I’ve got everything that I need to accomplish what I want. If you see problems come up you think of solutions to those problems. If you have a negative mindset, you see those problems come up well, you’re probably only going to see problems and not solutions. And that’s what happens.
There is a quote that I like and I believe Henry Ford said this one, I am not positive. But it’s “If you think you can or you think you can’t, either way you are right.” So your mindset determines so much what happens but it’s all how you show up whether you think you can do something or think you can’t do something. The only real barrier to getting that thing done is you. You’re the only thing standing in your way.
So let’s say you are going to an event, you’ve never met anybody there, you’re not sure who’s going to be there. You’re going by yourself and you’re putting yourself out there to make some new friends or new connections or learn something new. But you have the mindset going into that no one’s going to like me or I am an imposter, who am I to go to this event, no one’s going to be friends with someone like me. Well when you show up to that event, you’re putting out that frequency of lack of confidence, lack of self-worth. People are like this person doesn’t quite fit in here the way that they showed up. And then therefore, now all that self-doubt that you just manifested is now manifesting in the external form and it’s this vicious cycle.
Same thing happens when you set a goal for yourself. If you set a lofty goal and you say okay I want a million dollars, whether it’s this year, tomorrow, next quarter, whatever it is. You set this lofty goal for yourself and it doesn’t have to be monetary, you set it but internally you think to yourself there’s no way I’m going to be able to achieve that.
Because you’re thinking there’s no way I’m going to achieve this big huge goal, now you won’t be able to pick up on the signs or the indicators of being able to hit that goal. And therefore you won’t see the opportunities that are coming because you already talked yourself out of hitting that goal. So what are some ways we can shift our mindset to be more positive, to come from a place of abundance, and to be able to do more and achieve more?
The first is meditating. Meditating in the morning is amazing and it’s beautiful and you can meditate at night. I choose to just meditate in the morning. But meditating gets you centered and gets you on a frequency of being calm and also being able to help you clarify some of the things that you want and reduce some of the chatter. So that’s the first thing is to meditate. Ever since I’ve done it I’ve been a better person, I feel like I’ve just been happier when I meditate. I know that’s not very scientific and there’s no backing there but I think it’s good for all mankind.
The next thing that you can do to change your mindset and how you show up to transform your external surroundings is to start with gratitude. Be grateful for the things that you have currently. Be grateful for the events you have experienced already in your life. And be grateful for the people that you surround yourself with or that you’ve interacted with in the past. And by being grateful now you’re able to pick up on. That also helps you show up in a more positive light and then therefore other people want to be around you, and then therefore more opportunities that can come up. Gratitude is another great thing.
So I mentioned people, what people are you grateful for in your life, that is another way to transform your mindset by surrounding yourself with like-minded people. A few people jumped in here already, Catherine, Raj, some people that I transformed my mindset because I was interacting with other people with great mindsets.
People who think bigger, dream bigger, who want to inspire other people. Those are some mindsets that are really important for what I want to do and what I want to achieve. So therefore I need to surround myself with people with like-minded mindsets. And that goes back to you’re the average of the five people you spend time with.
If everyone you’re sitting around with and spending time with is constantly thinking about or talking about all the problems that they’re having then you’re probably going to be focused on all the problems that you’re having. If you’re surrounding yourself with people who are talking about big audacious goals and hitting these huge targets and just dreaming bigger well that’s going to force you to dream bigger and think bigger and put yourself out there and put yourself in situations where you normally wouldn’t be in.
So I hope this helps and I hope that you got some value from this. And remember everything that you want starts on the inside that will help transform everything that you want on the outside.
