Why Having a Morning Routine is Important
Do You Have a Morning Routine?
Making decisions everyday drains you of energy. Which leads to decision fatigue.
If you make significant decisions everyday, removing even just one – such as what to eat for breakfast, gives you more mental space and can help boost your productivity all throughout each day.
To avoid draining my energy especially in the morning, I follow a morning routine.
What do you do every morning that will keep your energy as high as possible so you can focus on your key tasks?

Hey, guys, it’s Allen.
In this video, I’m going to discuss a little bit about what people were commenting on
my essentialism blog on my website. So, on that blog post, a lot of people were commenting saying that this isn’t real, how can you do this, you’re a robot, blah, blah, blah.
But let me just show you something in action.
Right now, I’m cooking breakfast. It’s the same thing every day, and it’s not boring. It’s actually good, and it’s healthy for you.
But why do I cook the same thing every day?
So my morning energy, my morning brain power, my bandwidth, is not working on
“should I have Cheerios or should I have bacon.”
I don’t wanna deal with those minute details, and frankly, crap that doesn’t really serve me. So that’s why I do make and eat the same thing every day, which is, by the way, beans with three fried eggs. And that’s what I eat every day. It’s a derivative of the slow carb diet from Tim Ferriss’ 4-Hour Body book.
Anyway, what are other things that I take off of my plate so I don’t have to make a decision day in and day out, or every morning, that really doesn’t have a determining factor of what I’m trying to achieve out of my life?
One of those things is wearing the same white t-shirt every day. I have about 20 of the same exact cut, size, and fit white t-shirt that I wear day in and day out. I even wear it on the holidays, and my wife and family give me crap for it.
But it is what it is.
Now, I don’t have to worry about picking out clothes or what looks right on me
or what things look nice on this and that. It’s already done; it’s already handled, and that’s why I wear this.
Now, watch, I’m going to make a video and I’m not gonna be wearing a white t-shirt and everybody who’s seen this is gonna give me shit now,
but…
(chuckling)
I know that time will come.
Anyway, I just wanted to say what do you do every morning that you can replicate
that will keep your bandwidth and your brainpower and your brain energy bar as high as possible so you can focus on your key tasks that you have for yourself and your life?
