On a Day Like Today There's Nothing Else I'd Rather Be Doing
Sun is out and it's a perfect day to go play. Well,
in this case go on a boat ride.
Whenever I’m on the water, it seems that it is the cure for all the problems and chatter that is going on. It’s just so calm, still, and tranquil.

Good morning everyone.
Today is an awesome day because the sun is out. I knew the sun was gonna come out today so I planned my week accordingly, to free up this day, so we can have some fun. Already crushed out a couple hours worth of work this morning, and now we get the rest of the day to go play.
So let’s go.
So what we’re gonna do today is move the boat from the slip where it’s at now, to the yacht club, which is about 45 minutes North. And why we’re going to do this is because Lauren and I, we’re moving, and right now we’re staying at our parents house up North, and we wanna keep the boat closer to us so that we can use it more during the summer season.
So what I’m going to do is jump on the boat and take it North and we get to spend a little bit of time outside and on the water. And there’s nothin’ else that I’d rather be doing on a day like today.
So lets go for a boat ride.
So we’re on the boat. There’s a process that we do to get everything started and set up and get us off and running, but one very important thing that we have to do is this. One reason that I love boating so much is because you get out of the hustle and the bustle. You get away from the grind. You can disconnect and unwind and not let the drama, the problems of work and life effect you while you’re out on the water.
Just whenever you’re out on the boat or on the water, next to the ocean or in the ocean, it seems that, that is the cure for all the problems that are going on, in all the chatter that happens inside your head.
So, this background behind me is a perfect representation of the calmness that occurs on the water. It’s just very still, it’s very peaceful, it’s very tranquil. So we just got to the mouth of the river, just came up bay. It is crystal clear out here. I’m up at the bridge. You can see all the way down bay and see the light house, that’s how clear it is. It is absolutely beautiful out. Couldn’t ask for anything better. And this is what I’ve planned for.
Today, I’m so happy that I scheduled this chunk of time to come out here, ’cause this is perfect. Even if it’s just an hour or so, it’s exactly what I needed. So let’s head up the river. So behind me right now, you’ll see a bunch of sailboats, they’re small and the people sailing these boats are actually kids and a few teenagers.
This is how I grew up in the summer time. So instead of going to a summer camp or a daycare, we’d go to sailing program. And we get dropped off, or we go there, ride our bikes there or, I was fortunate enough to have a boat, I would take my boat from my grandma’s house to the yacht club, and go to sailing program at seven o’clock in the morning. And then we’d do that, we’d be sailing all day, until three o’clock and then we’d go home. And it was such a great way to grow up on the water, doing something different and constructive, more than the typical daycare or summer camp, something along those lines.
All right, today was a success. We’ve got Miss Lynne tied up and now we’re gonna head back and continue with the rest of the day, and get some more work done. So Miss Lynne’s all tied up in her slip, she’s safe and sound. And now Lauren and I can go out on her tonight. And it only took about and hour and 15 minutes to get from slip to slip but it was still worth taking the time off of work, but now we’re gonna go back home and finish up the rest of our day.
